Evaluation
The evaluation is conducted at your home. During the roughly 1-hour session a parent interview is conducted to gain the background information about your child and your concerns. In addition, we will take an inventory of their skills and their functioning in your natural environment. A written report will be provided that will include impressions and goals.
Therapy
The therapy sessions are conducted at your home. Sessions are typically 1-2 times a week for 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions depending on the individual need of the child. Therapy sessions will focus on the individual need of the child and the family. The most success with therapy has been documented when the child engages in play embedded in their daily routines along with parental involvement. Our goal in therapy at the Speech and Language Garden is to ensure your child's Garden continues to GROW.
Caregiver Support Group
Are you feeling concerned and at a loss what to do to help your child with their continued development? Do you have them in therapy now but still have so many questions? Do you ask yourself, “Does anyone else have the same issue?”, Well you are not alone! We are here to help you! We are forming specialized monthly support groups in Feeding, Play, Language, and Speech Development. Where we focus on YOU and how YOU can be the best for your child as you cultivate their GARDEN. Each session we have a HOT topic of discussion with guest speakers! We listen to you and you will get to talk to other parents who have similar concerns. The end result is how you can help your child to GROW in their Garden. Each session is 45 minutes via zoom where you can be supported by professionals and parents/caregivers.
